A plan for a small simmered-dish restaurant with around 13 seats, designed in a corner of the Momodani Onsen-dori Shopping Street near JR Momodani Station in Osaka, a local arcade frequented by neighborhood residents.

A large counter, smoothly curved and designed at a low height, was placed at the center of the space to create a scene where people could comfortably gather around steaming pots and share moments together.

Within the walls, rhythmically composed of plywood and timber battens, vivid primary-colored elements and stainless-steel materials were intentionally scattered throughout, introducing a subtle sense of dissonance and creating a spatial “duality” within the interior.
